Terms & Conditions

Standard terms of business for Resin Flooring Surrey installations.

1. Definitions

"The Company", "We", "Us" refers to Resin Flooring Surrey. "The Client", "You" refers to the person, business, or corporate entity engaging the services of the Company. "The Works" refers to the flooring preparation, installation, and materials specified in the Quotation.

2. Quotations and Acceptance

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Acceptance of a quotation must be made in writing (email is sufficient). Acceptance of a quotation constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. The Quotation outlines the full scope of works; any subsequent additions or variations will be subject to additional charges.

3. Site Conditions and Access

The Client must ensure the site is clear of all furniture, stock, and debris prior to the agreed commencement date. The Company requires unrestricted access to the site, adequate lighting, 240v/110v power supply, and access to fresh water. Delays caused by the site not being ready or accessible may result in additional daily charges.

4. Substrate Suitability

Quotations are provided based on the assumption that the underlying concrete or screed is structurally sound and free from rising damp, unless specifically addressed in the Quotation. If upon mechanical preparation, the substrate is found to be friable, heavily contaminated, or excessively moist, additional preparation (such as DPMs or screed consolidation) will be required and quoted separately.

5. Payment Terms

A deposit of 30% to 50% (as detailed in the Quotation) is required to secure materials and book the installation dates. The remaining balance is due immediately upon practical completion of the Works. We reserve the right to charge statutory interest on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6. Cancellations and Postponements

If the Client postpones the Works with less than 7 days' notice, the Company reserves the right to charge a postponement fee to cover lost labour time. Cancellations made after materials have been ordered or bespoke colours manufactured will result in the forfeiture of the deposit up to the value of the materials.

7. Curing Times and Aftercare

The Company will advise the Client on curing times. The Company accepts no liability for damage caused to the floor by the Client, other trades, or third parties accessing the floor before the full chemical cure time has elapsed. The floor must be maintained in accordance with the Company's provided aftercare instructions.

8. Guarantee

We provide a workmanship guarantee on all installations (duration specified in your contract). This covers delamination or failure caused by defective application. It does not cover damage from structural movement of the building, thermal shock (unless specified), impact damage, or misuse of abrasive chemicals.

9. Liability

The Company's liability for defective workmanship or materials is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective section of the floor. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of business arising from delays or floor failures.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
