Substrate Assessment and Moisture Testing

Diamond Grinding
The entire floor is diamond ground to remove laitance, old coatings, and contamination, achieving a CSP 3 to 4 profile. Any isolated areas of contamination, such as oil stains or adhesive residue, are treated with specialist primers before the main system goes down. The process uses HEPA-filtered extraction throughout.
Priming and Scratch Coat
An epoxy primer is applied to seal the substrate and prevent air bubbles rising through the poured body coat. A scratch coat is then trowelled on to fill any pinholes and correct minor unevenness. Any remaining low spot greater than 1mm must be corrected at this stage: the self-levelling body coat will pool in them otherwise.
Pouring the Resin
The two-part resin is mixed on-site in precisely calibrated ratios and poured onto the floor in controlled passes. We use a pin rake to distribute the resin to a consistent depth, then a spiked roller to release surface tension and eliminate remaining air. For bi-colour or concrete-effect pours, the two tones are poured simultaneously and worked with a trowel to develop the required effect.
Topcoat Sealing
Once the body coat has fully cured, typically 16 to 24 hours, a clear aliphatic polyurethane topcoat is applied in matte or silk finish. This protects the colour coat, provides UV stability, and determines the final appearance. A second topcoat is often applied for higher-traffic areas or where additional chemical resistance is required.
